Glabridin, also known as licorice flavonoids and licorice extract, belongs to the isoflavanoid flavonoids. It is derived from the dried rhizomes of the leguminous plant Glycyrrhiza glabra and is its main flavonoid component (accounting for 11%). Xi'an Sentian Bio has produced 4 different specifications of glabridin, namely 98% white powder, 40% white powder, 40% brown powder and 10% water-soluble white powder, which can meet the different needs of customers. Experimental studies have shown that glabridin can inhibit tyrosinase activity and also has other skin care effects. It is a cosmetic active ingredient with no side effects and no irritation. Only 100g of glabridin can be extracted from 1000kg of licorice plant. Because of its complex extraction process, high cost and expensive price comparable to the price of gold, it enjoys the title of "whitening gold" in the world cosmetics industry. Glycyrrhiza glabrae (Latin name: Radix Glycyrrhizae Glabrae) is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Leguminosae family, also known as licorice. Its rhizomes are thick and mainly grow on the edge of fields, roadsides, river terraces and relatively dry saline land. The main production areas of licorice in my country are Xinjiang and the provinces and regions of Northeast China. Among them, Xinjiang licorice is rich in resources and of good quality. It is mainly distributed in Aksu, Shihezi, Korla and other regions, with both artificial cultivation and wild resources. It is also distributed overseas in countries such as Europe, Mediterranean coastal countries, Siberia in Russia, and Mongolia.
